Janet Bergeson, RN, coordinates all clinic activities and participates in clinical assessments for the Human Nutrition Research Group.

Prior to joining the Center for Advanced Nutrition, Ms. Bergeson was a Research Nurse for The Cache County Study on Memory, Health and Aging, a Utah State University longitudinal study in collaboration with Johns Hopkins and Duke Universities, which began in 1995.  In that capacity, she performed participant screenings, collected medical and medication histories, interviewed the study participant’s family members about the subject’s cognitive status and abilities to function in day-to-day activities.

Her additional experiences include writing policies and procedures, supervising a staff of nurses within a hospital setting, and coordinating services with physicians.  Importantly, Ms. Bergeson has extensive ties to the Cache Valley medical community, including its physicians and clinical facilities, allowing the Program to quickly identify and contact any additionally needed medical services.
